Quick Question About Insignias - Guild Wars Forums

I was just wondering something about Insignias. While I was doing some research, looking at what Dervish armor was the best I was wondering: do the Insignias that I can apply, Forsaken, Brawler...etc, override the bonus inherently in the armor? So if I were to get let's say the Soothsayer's armor that gives the +7 energy and then apply an Insignia, would I lose the bonus given by the Inherent effect of the Soothsayer armor, the +energy. Any information on this would be helpful, as I am not sure what armor/insignias to use.

Answer.... there is no inherient mod in any armor that can have insignas.

Any armour that you buy in nightfall come without insignias, that means you can apply insignias onto them without worrying about it overriding anything.

But what about the list on the Dervish Armor page, is that armor only from Droks/Kaineng Center then, and not from Elona?

Here's how Tyrian/Canthan armour works.
Insignia Armour.
You can add a rune to make it Insignia Armour of Rune.

Now, Elonian armour is slightly different. It has no insignia.
If you were to add a rune, Armour of Rune.
If you add an insignia, Insignia Armour of Rune.

It will give you a description of what the armour will be before you apply the rune, so if you don't like it, you don't have to add it. But basically, adding an insignia will only improve the armour without changing anything.

The dervish armor page that states bonuses was taken from the PvP preview event before insignias had been finalized. All dervish and paragon armors currently come without bonuses. No armor for these classes is sold in Tyria or Cantha.
